One of the prettiest rides in Kennebunk is less than a mile from our parking lot. Hop on one of our cruisers, take a right at the light and another at the flashing pedestrian sign just before the Mousam River Bridge. The Bridle Path is a flat, well-packed trail under a canopy of fall color with beautiful water views. It ends at the Old House Parts parking lot, where you can turn around and head back or continue on to downtown Kennebunk.

Family-owned since 1894, Spiller Farm gets our vote for the best place to pick your own apples and experience real Maine. Grab an Apple Cider doughnut while you’re there, and if you’re lucky, some of the last ears of summer corn. Whatever you do, be sure to bring cash (small bills if possible) because the Spiller family doesn’t accept credit cards.
